FENLANDS

The Lincolnshire Fenlands are home to some glorious – but relatively unknown – photography locations. Expansive flatlands, often sporting vast cloudscapes; but not on this occasion.

I’ve spent half of my life in these huge open spaces, so it was only a matter of time before I started this project. In this series of 28 photographs, I’m celebrating the winter face of some of my favourite haunts. Subdued, frosty photographs showing the sad side to it’s character, with much dilapidation; but hopefully also the beauty inherent in the more mundane aspects of this beautiful place.
